Pritchard Leisure five-star experiences

Madryn Castle is part of an old Tudor estate, located on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula in North Wales. With its awe-inspiring natural landscape, fine beaches, and welcoming locals, it is easy to see why it attracts plenty of visitors, and why many come back to the area year after year.

The story behind Madryn Castle holiday park is one that captures the spirit of adventure, hard work, love and dedication. The location and estate itself caught the eye of John Pritchard, a hard-working entrepreneur who acquired his first Welsh holiday park in 1989. Although he didn’t know it at the time, this would be the beginning of his journey into the holiday park industry, leading to the creation of Pritchard Leisure.

This family-run business worked from the ground up to build the success of Madryn Castle, and other holiday parks in Wales. Coming from a farming background, hard physical work was no stranger to John. While living onsite, John and his family restored many parts of the old estate, including the picturesque gatehouse, which was completed in 2011. This not only made the location even more special, but also ensured the preservation of the estate.

The Pritchard family’s vision has not only helped to preserve the fascinating heritage and family legacy of the site, but has also turned Madryn Castle into an award-winning five-star holiday park for all ages to enjoy. As the success of Madryn Castle continued, as well as Sarnfaen, Pritchard Leisure’s other flagship holiday park, it meant some reorganisation was needed to keep up the highest of standards and customer care they are known for. As more Pritchard family members and other committed employees joined forces during the growth of the holiday parks, a more holistic way of operating was needed to ensure this exciting family venture has the capacity to continue growing and achieving its full potential. Pritchard Leisure is the result of this new restructuring.

The same core values, such as customer care, sustainability, heritage preservation, and hard-working attitude remain as the backbone of Pritchard Leisure, and that is something we hold close to our hearts. As the demands of our holiday parks grow and change, we need to be able to do the same. The creation of Pritchard Leisure gives us the structure to be able to do this, and see the stunning Madryn Castle being a place for people to cherish for many years to come.

What to expect with the Pritchard Leisure restructure

While Pritchard Leisure reflects the new branding across our holiday parks, our guests can expect the same family values they know and love when visiting us. For us, it’s all about the personal touch and giving our guests the best quality at affordable prices. We strive to make your holiday memorable and take away the stress, so you and your family can focus on the moments that matter most – the formation of Pritchard Leisure helps us to do that even better than before.

So, although we have made some changes, we want our guests to know their holiday experience will be just as relaxing and rejuvenating as before, and we are committed to the future of Madryn Castle and our other holiday park in Wales.  We can’t wait to see you for your next holiday!

Testimonials

Our holiday led to us buying a home here. Stayed at Pritchard Lodge.
Had nice weather, great chalet, great site. We bought our own while we were here. It is that good!

John and June

Our Paradise.
We bought a caravan with a plan of a couple of years, 20+ we are still here! As we drive into the park all stresses of life lift and we are in a tranquil paradise. We could not imagine life without our holiday home and all our wonderful memories with family and friends. All thanks to a professional friendly team who provide the warmest of welcomes and make our time spent here precious.

Sharon and Steve

Surrounded by dark starry skies and tranquil natural beauty. With perfectly maintained individual plots and a friendly team. Madryn Castle really is our happy place.

Sara and Pete

Our holiday home at Madryn Castle is our ‘perfect escape’, as soon as we arrive, we know we will relax and unwind in the peaceful, beautiful surroundings. We enjoy exploring the local area and have easy access to beaches and amenities to either side of the Peninsula. Our plot is unique, developed individually and private. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We just love being here making happy memories with family and friends, some of whom have also bought on the holiday park following their stay with us!
