David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Pledge for Nature
Madryn Castle Holiday Home Park has signed up for the David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Pledge for Nature and Sarnfaen Holiday Park are set to follow in their footsteps in 2022. We are lucky to have both parks set in some stunning surroundings in Mid and North Wales which is why Pritchard Leisure has encouraged both of its parks to take on the challenge, enabling us to bring together many of the things our parks can do to help wildlife thrive.
- Improving existing habitats for wildlife
- Creating new wildlife habitats and features where possible
- Managing greenspace in an environmentally friendly way as we can
- Involving residents and staff in wildlife conservation
- Engaging with local conservation bodies and projects
The Wildlife Challenges
These challenges are designed to inspire working for nature and should help the wildlife on parks to thrive. This year’s challenge choices:
- HOME SWEET HOME – set up bird boxes and other artificial wildlife homes
- POLLINATOR PATCH – create a part of your park where bees, butterflies and other insects can get food
- SPECIAL SPECIES – choose a species or type of animal and give them a helping hand
- TREE-MENDOUS – plant native trees and make your woodlands work for wildlife
- WONDERFUL WETLANDS – focus on your fresh-water habitats
