No visit to the Llŷn would be complete without a trip to the beach. With nearly 100 miles of coastline stretching around three sides of the Llŷn Peninsula, Madryn Castle is ideally situated for you to go and experience some of the finest beaches in Wales.
The southern coast of Llŷn is often referred to as the Welsh Riviera, with its long sandy beaches and warmer, calmer seas. You'll also get to experience stunning views across Cardigan Bay and the mountains of Snowdonia. The northern and western coastline is more rugged, with a selection of bays that have been formed by the power of the Irish Sea. With towering cliffs, offshore islands and hidden coves, there's more natural beauty to be experienced but beware, the sea is also slightly colder along these shores.
Here are a selection of beaches you may wish to visit. With all this choice, there is bound to be a beach that fulfills your needs.
